A Call to Bloggers in Sweden – Join the Lost in Sweden Moosletter!

Hej bloggarna!

I’m really excited to announce a new project I have been working on to make life and visiting Sweden more awesome.

Drumroll please…

It’s called the Lost in Sweden Moosleter. I know there are so many of you fantastic bloggers out there. But, it’s hard keeping track of everyone and following through easily from Google reader or blogrolls. Plus for those just wanting to get emails, getting 100 latest blog posts from bloggers is hard to digest.

The Lost in Sweden Moosletter will be a monthly newsletter with excerpts and photos from bloggers who write about Sweden. It’s awesome because you get the best of what’s happening in Sweden by real bloggers.

Bloggers get the advantage of increasing their traffic through a collective newsletter. Everybody loves visitors <3 Joining as a blogger is SUPER easy:
1. Be a blogger that writes about Sweden on a regular basis. You don’t have to be in Sweden, you just have to write *about* Sweden.

2. You can write in any language! If it is not English, put a Google Translate button on your site so visitors can easily translate to their native language.

3. Add the badge below to your sidebar on your blog so that everyone knows you’re part of the network.

You can right click “save as” and resize the image to fit your sidebar.

You MUST also link to this blog post so people can get more information about the newsletter.

If you don’t add a badge and link up, you can’t be part of the newsletter. Sorry. :( But seriously, it’s super easy to add the image and link up and become a part of Swedish history!

4. For bloggers wanting to put the signup box on their site, comment below and I will email you the code.

Readers, sign up for the newsletter!

You can sign up right below.

5. Spread the word! I’m super-über-jätte excited to send out the first newsletter in mid-June.

  1. @Lucy, thanks so much for joining! I look forward to featuring your content!

    @Missfoster – awesome!!

    @Andrew – :)

@AlicePhun – glad you enjoy the blog and hope you signed up for the newsletter to learn more about Sweden.

  2. Wow a lot have changed since I have last shared my alcohol induced “wisdom” here=) and damn this blog has even more fun and awesome people on it than before and I would love to have a drink with. I have to frequent this blog more often for now on maybe like in the old days. (if thats proper grammar or even proper english I dont care, Im swedish after all dont blame me!)

I really like this new blog thing you are starting up and I would like to contribute in comments atleast with this youtube link. It might appear cheesy or whatever, its actually two links but I atleast learned how very foreign and strange we swedes can be when watching these. So maybe a few of you non swedes can learn something from it aswell=). They are all about sweden and ofcourse swedes and how we are etc. Enjoy.

I especially recomend this youtube video or whatever you wanna call it, its about swedish culture from a british lady. I actually recomend even swedish people to watch the whole thing because it gives a good view on how things that we see as normal to be “exotic” in loretta’s words and it actually brings a bit of a chuckle because of it. Its from some seminar.

This is big steve from england or something like that, He is fecking awesome funny as hell. He has a good sense of humour and he makes fun of us swedes but in a good way. Watch his videos and you will see yet again of strange we appear to others its actually an eye opener in some way. I love this guy he is so funny I cant wait to see more of his antics. I hope to meet him on the street one day I would buy him a beer for sure!.

Dont know if these links will help you in this project since I dont blog myself but if nothing else maybe you can link it on another blog post. Anyway for good or worse it feels nice to be back here=)

  3. @Björn – It’s good to see you back!

I’m sure I can include the videos in some way in the newsletter (embed or link) and if you have a 2 cents quote, by all means, send it over!

Did you sign up above so that you get the newsletter?

  4. Hej Sapphire!

Great initiative! I have just added the image and link, check it out to see if you like where it is/how it looks. Also, I would like to get the sign up box.

BTW, just noticed that the Spanish to English translation of my blog sounds like it’s been done by Yoda :D

  5. Of course I subscribed! Looking forward to this, it sounds great. I am working on getting my badge to function and will write a post about this very soon!! Great idea. <3

  6. @Brannigan – HAHAHAHA! Are you sure Yoda does not secretly post to your blog?

@Megalagom – Härligt! And thanks so much for spreading the word with your post!

This is really awesome. Am so excited to have our own newsletter about Sweden written by us.

Bloggers, make sure you join. And readers, subscribe above!

  7. Hi,

I was surfing around today and found your blog. I subscribed and I’m looking forward to the first newsletter! This is exciting :)

I’m a Finnish girl, living in Stockholm (love it!). I’m blogging in Finnish with English summary. I hope that is enough as I have also noticed google translate is not working very well from Finnish to English…

  8. @Andrea – Wonderful! Glad to have you on board :)

@Tiia – I like the excerpts you’ve done. It just needs to be a way for a reader to understand what’s going on. :) Google Translate can however provide amusement with translations.

If you want the subscribe button, let me know… or you can steal the QR code in the sidebar at the top!

  9. My badge is up and working. How do we know if our blogs were approved? I am an American PhD student living in Stockholm and writing about my life here.

  10. Hi Lindsey,

Your blog is approved as long as you write about Sweden. :-)

So yup, you’re included. Thanks for joining!

  11. Hey there!

Hoping to sign up my blog (www.swedeandsourkitchen.com) to the newsletter and just waiting for the verification email.

I’ve added the image and a link back and just wondering if that is all I need to do! Thanks!

  12. Hi Gypsee! If you have the badge on your site, you´ll be added here. I added your blog already (see above), so just make sure to badge on your site with the hyperlink.

    Thanks for joining!

  13. Hi Lola! Just put up a badge on your site, link it up, and let me know. I will add you to the list then!

  14. Hey, I’d love to be added as well! I’m an American living in Stockholm and writing about all kinds of things related to expat life here.

  15. Hej :-)

I’m in the UK but I write about Sweden / post photos from my travels to Sweden. My blog is bilingual English / Swedish. Can I join as well?

    Tack så mycket!

  16. I am visiting Stockholm in august 2014 and am wondering about the night life, among other things. Can you fine folks here help me so I don’t get lost in STOCKHOLM? ;) I am hoping for a great time, and am sure ill see myself in the Swedish people. If anybody can help me prepare myself that would be fantastic! My travels will bring me to Finland as well. Looking for friends and good times there as well. Sight seeing tours, motorcycle rentals, beautiful landscapes and of course the possibility of finding work so I can move back to where I feel I was taken from. Thanks! I am from a cold climate and snow…is common in Upper Michigan. Saunas, and outdoor activities is how I was raised. Take care and thanks for reading!
