Okay, if you like good deals and enjoy good food, there’s a break at last in Sweden. It’s Krogveckan! Literally it means, restaurant week, and guess what, it’s a week of deals at the major restaurants all over the country.
The Details
- Started April 8th and ends April 17th.
- You must book online through bookatable.se through the box on the right side.
- The deal is 2 course dinner for 200SEK per person. Some of the restaurants are even giving a three course dinner.
Book now if you want a booking at one of the big restaurants in Stockholm or Göteborg. Story Hotel, Stadshuskällaren, and Pontus! bar are already booked.
Bon appetit!
>> It’s Krogvecken! Literally it means, restaurant week
No, it doesn’t. Krogvecken means ‘the restaurant creases’, or maybe ‘the restaurant pleats’. :)
Krogveckan on the other hand, means ‘the restaurant week’.
Hmm, just in time for the bf’s birthday. Thanks!
Go to abysinnia near vanadisvagen. Amazing ethiopian food for 200 sek.
@Mazui – Ohhh!!! Major faux paus although a great double-entendre. Thanks, I fixed it to Krogveckan now.
@Kat – Yess!!!!! Book now so you guys get a good spot!
@genie – Good to know. Any other restaurants to suggest?
I enjoyed lunch at chai kana and the canteen at the modern art museum. That’s about it for good food; I could only afford burger king/max/jerusalem kebab for the rest of my stay. My colleagues liked ellora, agra tandoori and the indian places on st eriksgatan. They were south african desis and desperate for a curry fix. I was tempted by that greek/turkish place near kungstradgarten metro. That’s about 200sek for the set menu.
Speaking of faux pas, it isn’t spelled ‘faux paus’.
Ok, now I won’t remark on spelling mistakes any more. For a while. :)
Okay! I think I just had one of those total idiot days where I spelled everything wrong. Brain FAIL. =)
But, I’m glad you’re reading and remarking!
I went to Scandic Anglais. Had a really good duck breast and some sorbet for dessert. I think I saved 170 for that menu.
