I think you've made a wonderful choice. That you're doing it for all the right reasons and at exactly the right time. Of course this is going to be an adventure, and adventures are full of difficulties, quests and those damn pesky dragons, goblins and assorted other monsters that we have to keep fighting. So Sweden is not a bad choice for a destination. It has its fair share of idiots, but then again that's true of most places:-) You may run into quite a bit of preconceived ideas about immigrants, but that will be true anywhere you'll go anyway - just tell them that you're from Iceland or Finland if they give you a hard time:-) There are a few of films you should watch before you go - Fucking Amal or Show Me Love, Tillsammans or Together and Mitt liv som hund or My Live As A Dog - or just watch them whenever, they are all Swedish, all favorites and they happen to be great movies so well worth watching no matter what:-) Til hamingju!
